Alberto Andreu

Senior Advisor | Associate Professor

 

Alberto Andreu Pinillos (Madrid, 1963) is a MBA from the IE Business School, a degree in Law from ICADE and PhD Candidate in Economics. Currently, he is Senior Advisor of EY (Ernst & Young); Associate Professor of the School of Economics and Business Administration at the University of Navarra; visiting professor at Piura University (Perú); member of the Chair in Economic and Business Ethics at Comillas Pontifical University, and member of Council of the Research Centre of Governance, Sustainability and Reputation created by Corporate Excellence and IE Business School.

Andreu is an expert in defining the corporate purpose and aligning organizations undergoing transformation thought functions such as Corporate Reputation, CSR, Sustainability, Brand. Corporate Identity, Corporate Culture & Organization. He has extensive experience in harmonizing business goals, values and principles with the daily operation of companies.

Andreu took part in the transformation processes at CEPSA, as Internal Communication Manager, during the liberalization of the oil monopoly; at Banesto, as Corporate Identity Manager, following the audit by the Central Bank of Spain; at Santander Bank, in charge of Corporate Culture and Brand, for the merger with BCH; and at Telefónica, where he has been leading different areas such as Corporate Sustainability, Reputation, Brand, Public Affairs, Culture and Organization Development during the globalization and digital transformation process. Furthermore, he was also an Associate Professor at IE Business School.

He combines his professional activity with teaching and is regarded as the dean of Spain and Latin America in the fields of corporate culture, identity and reputation, sustainability, ethics, organization, internal communication and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

He writes a column for El País newspaper in Planeta Futuro, the section on sustainable global development, and has also contributed to Cinco Días. He has also had articles published in management journals such as the Harvard Deusto Business Review and Dialogue Review, and was a member of the Stakeholder Council of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
