Anna Sáez de Tejada

Assistant Professor of Operations, Information y Technology at IESE Business School

Anna Sáez de Tejada Cuenca is an Assistant Professor of Operations, Information and Technology at IESE Business School, University of Navarra. She received her PhD in 2019 from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and spent a year working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where she worked with Vishal Agrawal.

Anna’s research interests include sustainability, social responsibility, and the circular economy, with a focus on the fashion industry. She studies consumer behaviour with regards to sustainability, as well as sustainability issues upstream the supply chain. Her research has been published in leading academic journals such as Management Science and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, in addition to practitioners’ journals such as the MIT Sloan Management Review and IESE Insight. Anna won the POMS College of Sustainable Operations Best Student Paper Award in 2018, the POMS College of Behavior in Operations Management Junior Scholar Paper Award in 2019, and the MSOM Responsible Business Award in 2023. Her research has been funded by a Juan de la Cierva fellowship (Spain’s Ministry of Science and Innovation), as the New York-based Social Trends Institute.

At IESE she teaches Operations Management in the MBA and in Executive Education, as well as Statistics in the MRM and some sustainability-oriented sessions in diverse executive programs.
