Laura Rodríguez

Director for Spain and Portugal in Marine Stewardship Council Board member of Woman Action Sustainability.

Lawyer by training, has 25 years of experience to transform supply chains to sustainability, Started her career in the Fair Trade sector where she leaded the launch of pioneer responsible procurement initiatives to integrate ethical, social and green criteria in public and private purchasing. In 2010 Laura joined the Marine Stewardship Council to launch of the MSC program in Spain and Portugal. MSC is an international NGO with the aim to end overfishing through a leader certification and labelling program. The work of MSC in Spain and Portugal, seeks to promote the environmental sustainability in the fishing sector and the seafood value chain, develop initiatives with public authorities, NGOs and scientist community as well as raise awareness on oceans conservation within society.
Laura has a Degree on Law and Business by CEU San Pablo, Complutense University (Spain) and a Master of Business Law. Is founder member and board member of the association Woman Action Sustainability (WAS).
